This is my proud moment, my glory for the week. I took this photo of the little man when he was 7 months old, and I LOVED it, but I HATED the dang background. I never got around to learning how to use Photoshop until a month or so ago and I desperately wanted to lose the ugliness of the background. I’m still a novice at the task, and I would prefer to take out all the annoying lines in the background, but this pleases me enough. Here is what the original looked like:
I cropped the dimensions down to 8×10, then used the lasso tool to select the area above little man, with the annoying pillows. I went to Edit and Fill and then selected “Content Aware Fill” to have it sort of magically fill in the selected area with what was around it. I did some adjusting and blending with the Stamp/Clone tool and bam! there you have it. Not high quality work, but enough that my non-photo savvy family can appreciate it.
The information where I learned to use these functions of Photoshop came from this website.
